How does the process work for booking weddings?

Filling out OUR Wedding Inquiry Form is your first step. Because we are a small team and are often very busy spending time outside with the gardens, it may take up to a week for us to send you a response. If your wedding date is available and we feel like we could be a good fit for each other, we will either schedule a phone call or an in-person meeting with you (depending on where you live) to discuss the details further. Every couple and every wedding is unique, so we want to ensure that the chemistry is there so that we can build a flower package that is based on your needs.

Once you receive your initial proposal and quote, your wedding date will be held until your deposit is paid in full. Please note, due to the busy nature of the wedding season and the high demand for local, farm-grown florals, we can only hold your wedding date for two weeks from the date of your quote. Therefore, you will have only two weeks from the date of your quote to provide payment for your deposit, or your date will be free for another couple.

Once the deposit is paid for and confirmed, your wedding date will be secured with us and then we can start the process of making your floral dreams come true!

I’m interested in having Feeder Flower Farm for my wedding and want to place a deposit right away in order to save my date — how do I do this?

First of all, thank you for thinking of us! However, we unfortunately do not accept deposits until we’ve had a chance to chat with you and discuss what your floral vision is. Because we grow our own flowers and have an organic and natural approach to design, we want to ensure that we are both the right fit for each other. Filling out our Wedding Inquiry Form is the first step to getting this process started.

I just got engaged! How far in advance should I be booking my wedding flowers?

if you are interested in having farm-grown flowers, you should ideally be thinking about booking and confirming your wedding florals at the beginning of your wedding year [typically between January to March]. Because we are committed to using our own farm-grown flowers, our wedding and event services are available from late May to early October.

Our dates book up quickly within our growing season, so it’s never too early to reach out to see if we are open.

Also, sometimes we have unexpected availability for the short term — it never hurts to ask!

Do you provide full-service wedding florals? What exactly does that mean?

Yes, absolutely — ‘full-service’ is just a fancy term for ‘taking care of it all’! From designing the florals in our studio to delivering them to your venue, to setting up your centerpieces and arrangements on tables and creating any large installation pieces — we do the work, so you can relax and enjoy every moment of your special day.

If you picture yourself getting married under a dramatic arch, having statement arrangements on or above your tables, and delicately placed foliage, the full-service option is definitely for you.

I am doing a DIY wedding and want to make my own arrangements, but I want to use your farm-grown florals. What are my options?

We can offer buckets of loose, cut flowers and foliage which would be available for pick-up at our farm ONLY. Just specify your request in the Notes section of our Wedding Inquiry Form and we’d be happy to discuss these options further with you.

*Please keep in mind that these buckets will be ‘growers choice’, meaning that we will work within your colour palette, but you will not be able to choose specific types of flowers. Buckets contain around 60-80 stems.

We will unfortunately not be able to offer in-person consults, teach you how to design your flowers or supply you with any design materials other than the flowers and foliage.

How much do wedding or event flowers typically cost? Is there a minimum spend?

Pricing is custom to each event and is dependent on the type of flowers, volume requested and type of service. The best way to get a clear idea of what your flower cost would be is to fill out our Wedding Inquiry Form. We do our best to create a proposal that fits both your needs and your budget.

Keep in mind that we grow your flowers from seed directly on our farm. There is a lot of work that goes into ensuring that your flowers are taken care of during every step of their growing journey. Individual flower costs also vary. If flowers are rarer, harder to grow or have a limited growing season, they are often more expensive.

There is no minimum spend.

Do I need to provide my own vases for my wedding or event?

We are very flexible with the types of vases used for our florals. For example, if you have mason jars for your tables that you’d like filled as your centerpieces, we can bring our fresh cut flowers and arrange them on-site. However, we can also incorporate flowers already arranged into purchased or rented vases for an additional cost.

Do you work on non-wedding related events?

Absolutely! We love doing events of all kinds. Contact us here — we would love to chat with you!
